|About the Book|
It is February 23, 1797, and the French have invaded Pembrokeshire. Connell O’Keeffe, a young Irish actor on his way home to Ireland after performing in Haverfordwest, passes through Manorowen, where he witnesses a murder being committed by a member of the local militia. As a result, he himself is savagely attacked, before being taken prisoner as one of the Irish Republicans who invaded along with the French. He escapes, but suffering from the after-effects of his life-changing experience, fears he will never be loved again. It takes a woman’s love to save him from himself, and to bring happiness back into his life once more.
